Job summary

Exol is pioneering warehousing-as-a-service, offering outsourced warehousing operations and specializing in automated warehousing solutions. The Warehouse Optimization Manager will place and organize inventory within storage systems at the Wilmer, TX site, developing slotting procedures for future sites and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in slotting, warehouse inventory management, or material handling supervision.

Responsibilities

• Create, review and adjust slotting instructions and plans (location assignments, storage parameters, product-to-slot mapping).
• Coordinate item moves with operations to slot locations and update WMS/automation systems accordingly.
• Ensure slotting data accuracy and reflect changes in the relevant systems.
• Optimize slot and technology locations based on velocity, size/weight, packing, pick frequency and safety considerations.
• Reorganize inventory with slotting changes or SKU updates as needed.
• Evaluate workflows with picking/fulfillment teams to support efficient operations.
• Conduct regular audits of slot locations and ensure labels/barcodes are correct.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety and organization in the slotting area; comply with PPE guidelines and forklift safety.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks: cycle counts, replenishment, staging for shipping, inbound receiving.
