Job summary

Morcon Specialty, a TRG Company, is seeking a Warehouse Shop Tech to join our team. This hourly, non-exempt role involves receiving shipments, stocking facilities, and assisting with inventory, cutting tasks, and basic machinery operation.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1–2 years of warehouse experience, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll work Monday–Friday with potential weekend hours based on customer needs.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of warehouse or production experience in an industrial setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and unload delivery trucks.
• Stock and organize all warehouse locations, bins, and racks.
• Assist with physical inventory and daily housekeeping of the warehouse.
• Operate basic mechanical tools and equipment; learn to operate machinery.
• Assist hose and gasket areas with prep and cutting tasks.
• Interact professionally with customers at service counter or during deliveries.
• Possibly back up as a driver for customer deliveries.
• Read and understand work orders and job sheets; prioritize workload.
• Push, lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly; stay on feet throughout shift.

Morcon Specialty, a TRG Company, is looking to add a self-starter Warehouse Shop Tech to their team! This position is a great way to start a career in the Industrial Distribution Industry.

The Warehouse Shop Tech is typically responsible for a variety of tasks that are manufacturing or distribution based and may include assembling and manufacturing sales orders, picking products from the warehouse, and shipping and receiving. The role includes operation of machinery and other manufacturing equipment.

Essential Functions

• Receives incoming shipments into inventory including loading and unloading delivery trucks.
• Stock and maintain all warehouse locations, bins, and racks in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Assist with physical inventory.
• Operate basic mechanical equipment such as hand tools and measuring devices.
• Assist hose area with basic duties such as hose banding and crimping, roll, cut or test hose.
• Assist gasket and belting area with basic duties such as prepping material and using precision cutting tools to cut gaskets and belts to the required shape and size.
• Have the ability to interact with customers in a professional manor at the service counter or on customer deliveries. May need to be a backup driver for customer deliveries.
• Requires ability to organize and prioritize workload.
• Ability to consistently move throughout facility during the workday, including staying on your feet for long periods of time.
• Operate forklift upon certification.
• Possess excellent motivation to meet/exceed customer requirements
• Ability to read and understand work orders and job sheets
• Basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools
• Ability to operate, or learn to operate basic machinery as well as more advanced machinery
• Ability to push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently on a repeated basis
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory software

Preferred Education/Experience

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1-2 years of warehouse or production experience in an industrial setting
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Driven self-motivated individual that can work independently or within a team
• Valid driver’s license

Physical Demands

• Highly physically demanding with moving products around all day.
• At times bending and leaning over in awkward positions.
• Working in non-air-conditioned facilities.

Position Type

This is an hourly, non-exempt full-time position. Hours are Monday-Friday, with possible weekend hours based on customer needs.
