Coastal Logistics Group, Inc. is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate for our General Warehouse to efficiently process shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold safety standards.

The role involves inspecting incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, and documenting all transactions in our warehouse systems. Ideal candidates have warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, and solid communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse shipping and receiving role is preferred.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, good communication skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in using warehouse management systems and basic computer applications.
• Conditions: The role involves working in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, requiring physical stamina.
• Hours: Must be available to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Receiving Shipments: Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, documenting any discrepancies or damages.
• Shipping Orders: Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and proper labeling
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, conducting regular counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.
• Quality Control: Monitor the condition of materials and report any quality issues or damages to the supervisor.
• Documentation: Complete all necessary shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and inventory logs.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, utilizing PPE as required.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies, collaborating with team members and supervisors as necessary.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely and efficient shipping and receiving operations.
• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support warehouse operations.
