Job summary

Hearst Connecticut Media Group in Connecticut is seeking a full-time Assistant DM to receive, store, and distribute materials in our warehouse, supporting shipping and receiving and assisting district managers with routes and delivery verifications.

The role requires forklift/pallet jack certification, a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 26-50 pounds, reliable transportation, and a safety-minded approach. Benefits include health/dental/vision coverage, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have certification for using forklift, pallet jack or other machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Reliable transportation and ability to pass drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load trucks and move materials between storage and designated areas.
• Distribute newspaper products and paperwork to independent contractors.
• Arrange materials on racks and shelves per product sequence.
• Maintain accessible and safe warehouse environment.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Record materials received or distributed.
• Coordinate with District Managers on routes and delivery verifications.
• Attend to facilities maintenance duties as needed.
• Sweep, dust, and mop; keep the workspace orderly.
• Wear appropriate safety equipment at all times.
