Job summary

Lycoming Engines seeks a Supervisor to lead a dynamic warehouse team and drive relentless improvement in safety, quality, delivery and cost. You will hire, coach and develop bargaining unit personnel while ensuring policy compliance and strong cross-functional collaboration.

The role emphasizes lean manufacturing experience, aviation knowledge, and effective leadership with MS Office proficiency. Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing/Supply Chain is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing/Supply Chain
• Lean manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of general aviation engine and airframe applications preferred
• Strong leadership and people-management skills

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, train, develop, direct, counsel and discipline bargaining unit personnel in a fair and consistent manner
• Develop and improve operations towards best in class standards including receiving, shipping, inventory control, talent, processes and facilities
• Supervise bargaining personnel to ensure efficient manpower utilization and assist with planning
• Participate in cross-functional efforts and teams to support Lycoming Premier initiatives
• Administer the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and collaborate with union leaders on shop issues
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies
• Demonstrate leadership, communication, organizational and leadership skills
• Influence work culture and drive change in organizations
• Demonstrate strong problem solving, team building, and conflict resolution skills
• Possess strong work ethic
• MS Office skills
• Knowledge of general aviation engine and airframe applications is preferred
• Lean manufacturing experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain
