Job summary

Bob's Discount Furniture is seeking a Shipping Lead to coordinate and balance shipping operations in real time. You will allocate picking/loading tasks, record outbound deliveries, and support the Shipping Managers with system knowledge and reporting.

The role requires leadership in a warehouse setting, strong multitasking abilities, and proficiency with Word, Excel, SAP and Red Prairie. On-site work with opportunities to contribute across the distribution center.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of warehouse experience including leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP and Red Prairie.
• Detail oriented and accurate.
• Must be able to work weekends and evenings.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Shipping Lead

Job Overview

The Shipping Lead is responsible for real time analysis, coordination and balance of Shipping Operations including allocation of picking/loading tasks.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Recording and reporting of outbound deliveries.
• Provides support in reporting, researching and resolving issues that occur in the interface between host system and WMS in a timely manner.
• Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Provides administrative support for the Shipping Managers.
• Develops and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all needed systems.
• Support Picking and Loading operation as needed.

Under direct supervision of the DC Shipping Managers.

Work is performed within standard policies and procedures with opportunity for unreviewed decision-making.

All other duties as assigned.

Compensation

Starting hourly pay at $22.00 - $25.00/hour (Based on experience)

Minimum Qualifications

Physical Demands

Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.

Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center.

Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.

Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.

Standing, walking, lifting, and arranging product: 90% Sitting: 5% Desk or phone work: 5%
