This is a 1st Shift Shift position. The hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Assign daily tasks, train team members, and monitor overall workforce productivity.
Coordinate daily staging, packing, and loading processes for outbound freight.
Schedule truck arrivals, dispatch drivers, and manage relationships with shipping vendors.
Inspect outgoing shipments to verify packing slips, item counts, and accurate addressing.
Generate required bills of lading (BOL), custom forms, and commercial invoices.
Maintain customer portals, execute Post Goods Issue (PGI) in SAP in a timely and accurate manner.
Practice safe operating procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and accident-free shipping dock.
Assist Customer Service Representatives (CSR) promptly with questions regarding tracking, transit delays, or shipping issues.
Upload pictures of loaded cargo and shipping documents (BOL, packing lists, invoices) to the internal digital filing system for permanent quality assurance records.
File paper copies of shipping documents chronologically in the file room to maintain an organized archive for the mandated 7-year retention period. Purge and securely discard paper files that have exhausted the 7-year retention period according to company compliance policies.
Report any known inventory discrepancies to the Inventory Administrator in real time to ensure immediate system reconciliation.
Support the Operations or Warehouse Manager in other tasks, projects, or coverage assignments as directed.
Encourage regular operational feedback from the shipping team and actively participate in process improvement initiatives to boost warehouse efficiency.
