Job summary

The Imagine Group in Concord, NC is seeking a Warehouse Shipping Clerk to manage outgoing freight and related reporting for tracking and billing. Shift: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Responsibilities include completing shipments with shipping software, scheduling carriers, preparing documents, loading/unloading, following client guidelines, and ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills for email, data entry and document handling.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and measurement.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Forklift certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage outgoing freight and related reporting for tracking and billing.
• Complete package shipments using integrated shipping software.
• Schedule carriers for truckload and LTL shipments and prepare required documents.
• Assist with loading/unloading and prepare pallets for shipment.
• Follow client guidelines for deliveries and appointments.
• Investigate delivery delays or discrepancies and coordinate with carriers.
• Ensure vehicle fleet maintenance meets DMV requirements and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and meet productivity and quality standards.
• Be available for overtime as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibilities of this position are managing outgoing freight and the related reporting for tracking and billing.

Shift: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Job Description

• Complete package shipments utilizing an integrated shipping software.
• Schedule carriers for truckload and LTL shipments and prepare all the necessary documentation (bills of lading, commercial invoices, etc.).
• Assist with loading or unloading, or preparing materials for shipment, as needed. Prepare pallets for shipment (wrap as needed, label per client and carrier specifications).
• Follow client specific guidelines for deliveries (appointments, badge requirements, etc).
• Investigate delivery delays or discrepancies.
• Manages fleet management for both class A and box truck- ensure truck maintenance is up to date and manage DMV requirements.
• Contribute to safety goals by maintaining a clean, clutter-free workplace, report potentially unsafe conditions and ensure that the department meets and exceeds safety requirements.
• Meet productivity and quality standards by completing work in a timely and accurate manner.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications of Position:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), four plus years of relevant industry experience or 520 hours as an Imagine temporary employee along with the manager's approval to hire full-time.

Preferred Qualifications of Position:

• Five plus years of experience in a shipping coordination role.
• Prior experience using an ERP system.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Basic computer skills including email, basic mouse, keyboard, and menu navigation.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement.
• Ability to communicate/understand basic written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to be certified in driving a forklift.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
• Frequent standing for prolonged periods of time.
• Frequent walking.
• Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to visually inspect all work for defects.
• Manual dexterity for repetitive work.

Location Addendums:

• The primary responsibility of this position in Charlotte is driving company vehicles to facilitate pickup and deliveries to meet customer and company demands.
• Must have clean driving record if working at Charlotte location.
• Must be able to pass a DMV physical for driving company vehicles at Charlotte location.
• Prepare and complete local deliveries using company managed vehicles at Charlotte location.
