Job summary

Bitzer US in Flowery Branch, GA is seeking a full-time Shipping/Warehouse Associate to pull, pack, label, and load material for customer orders and to coordinate with customer service and carriers to ensure timely and accurate shipments.

You will operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, use Macola to locate material, prepare shipping documents, and maintain inventory records while supporting cycle-counts and physical inventory. On-call hours apply for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proficient in sit-down and stand-up forklift.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sign off on shipping documents.
• Schedule shipments via phone, customer portal or carrier website.
• Utilize Fed-Ex and UPS software to verify shipments.
• Maintain accurate records and assist inventory control.
• Operate forklifts (stand-up and sit-down).

• Assist with annual physical inventory and cycle counts.

Description

Responsible for pulling, packing, and loading material for customer orders. Work directly with customer service and carrier to ensure all orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

Reports To: Shipping Supervisor

Status: Full time, Nonexempt

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm

This position does require you to be on call: nights, weekends, and Holiday’s for emergency shipments.

Duties & Tasks

• Work with customer service to ensure customer needs are met.
• Utilize Macola software to locate material and confirm shipments.
• Pick, pack, label and load outgoing material.
• Prepare and sign off on shipping documents.
• Schedule shipments via phone, customer portal or carrier web site.
• Utilize Fed-Ex and UPS software.
• Ensure accuracy of shipments.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.
• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
• Work with the cycle count team to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Assist with annual physical inventory.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Warehouse setting, which may include exposure to loud noises, dust, and other environmental factors. The position may also require working in cold or hot temperatures. PPE of safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes are required at all times.

Physical Demands

• Required to sit, stand, walk, and lift for extended periods of time. The position may also require bending, stooping, kneeling and reaching. You may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
