Job summary

BITZER Scroll in Syracuse, NY seeks an Assembly Line Tech to set up and operate compressor assembly stations. You will follow standard work, document SPC, and use SAP reporting to track material transactions.

This is a full-time, non-exempt role with a starting wage of $19.00 per hour, plus opportunities to earn more through cross training. Shift is Monday–Thursday, 6 am–4:30 pm, with benefits including life insurance, disability coverage, and a low-cost health plan.

Qualifications

• Willingness to be trained on different stations on the assembly line.
• Mechanical background or hobbies preferred but not required.
• General knowledge of compressor technology preferred but not required.
• Ability to work safely and effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate powered industrial equipment.
• Complete standard work documentation and SPC reporting if required.
• Use BITZER BIPROS and SAP for daily forms and material transactions.
• Work as part of a lean team to support assembly and related tasks.
• Perform maintenance and facility-related duties as needed.

Summary (Position Description)

Responsible to set up and operate all compressor assembly stations. Majority of duties are associated with compressor assembly but could include compressor processing and final pack as well.

Duties & Tasks

• Safely operate powered industrial equipment
• Complete standard work documentation or reporting SPC process control if required.
• Compile all daily forms and paperwork as needed Work within the lean through BITZER BIPROS system.
• Use SAP reporting for material transactions
• Work safely and effectively within a team environment Perform miscellaneous duties as required. (Not limited to sweeping/mopping/maintaining the work areas on a daily basis)
• Perform various maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, and facility work.
• Other as directed by Management

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Ability to work collectively with others within the organization

Work Environment

• This job is performed in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee constantly is required to stand; walk; bend; stoop; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and 30 or more pounds on a regular basis.
