Job summary

BITZER US is seeking an Assembly Line Tech to set up and operate compressor assembly stations. The role includes contributing to lean manufacturing with cross-training opportunities and working 6 am–4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.

The position is full-time with hourly pay starting at $19.00, with potential earnings through cross-training. Candidates should be capable of long shifts and contributing to a safe, collaborative production environment.

Qualifications

• Willing to be trained on different assembly line stations.
• Mechanical hobby or background preferred but not required.
• General knowledge of compressor technology is a plus.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a team.
• Strong communication and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate powered industrial equipment.
• Complete standard work documentation or SPC reporting if required.
• Use SAP for material transactions and reporting.
• Maintain clean and organized work area; perform daily housekeeping.
• Carry out maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and facility work as needed.

Assembly Line Tech

Shift:

Monday – Thursday 6 am – 4:30 pm

Summary (Position Description):

Responsible to set up and operate all compressor assembly stations. Majority of duties are associated with compressor assembly but could include compressor processing and final pack as well.

Reports To:

Shift Supervisor

Status:

Full time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Duties & Tasks

• Safely operate powered industrial equipment
• Complete standard work documentation or reporting SPC process control if required.
• Compile all daily forms and paperwork as needed Work within the lean through BITZER BIPROS system.
• Use SAP reporting for material transactions
• Work safely and effectively within a team environment Perform miscellaneous duties as required. (Not limited to sweeping/mopping/maintaining the work areas on a daily basis)
• Perform various maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, and facility work.
• Other as directed by Management

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

• Willingness to be trained on different station on the assembly line
• Technical background or Mechanical hobbies are preferred but not required
• General Knowledge of Compressor technology preferred but not required
• General ability to work safely and effectively within a team manufacturing environment.

• Ability to be on your feet for 9 1/2 hours per day.
• Ability to effectively meet and communicate with employees, the public and vendors
• Mechanically and computer inclined-no machining experience needed.
• Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion and sound judgment
• Good written communication skills and effective organizational skills
• Ability to work collectively with others within the organization

Work Environment:

• This job is performed in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee constantly is required to stand; walk; bend; stoop; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and 30 or more pounds on a regular basis.
