Job summary

Crane Payment Innovations (CPI) seeks a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk in San Antonio, TX. You will ensure accurate handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, proper labeling and documentation, and timely updates to inventory records.

You’ll collaborate with production, procurement and logistics teams to meet tight schedules, inspect orders for damage or discrepancies, and operate forklifts and related equipment safely in a busy warehouse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse ops preferred.
• Ability to read work orders, shipping instructions and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, packaging, and labeling items for shipment with proper documents.
• Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy and reporting issues.
• Updating inventory systems to reflect received and shipped items.
• Coordinating and prioritizing shipping schedules to meet customer and production needs.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a Shipping and Receiving clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing shipments.

The Shipping and Receiving clerk will have a direct impact on our Logistics group, responsible for:

• Preparing, packaging, and labeling items for shipment while ensuring proper documentation, such as shipping labels, packing lists, and invoices.
• Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, or discrepancies and promptly reporting any issues.
• Updating inventory systems to reflect received and shipped items, maintaining accurate stock records.
• Coordinating and prioritizing shipping schedules to meet customer and production needs.
• Working closely with internal teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintaining detailed records of all shipping and receiving activities and preparing reports as required.
• Following all company policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Operating forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and shipping software.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, shipping instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Employee must be able to lift to 35 pounds regularly
• Capability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
