Job summary

Americold is seeking a dedicated warehouse supervisor to oversee a shift-based team, ensuring efficient receiving, warehousing, and shipping of customer products. You will drive quality assurance, safety compliance, and effective shift communication to meet service and cost targets.

Travel may be required. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in supervision or a warehouse role (or Americold internship) and a high school diploma; college credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or warehouse experience or Americold internship or a bachelor's degree.
• High school diploma required; an associate degree is preferred.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, calculators, desktops, and photocopiers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, stacking of products, and picking and staging of outbound shipments to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure accuracy and condition of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Facilitate cross communication between shifts and conduct shift meetings.
• Oversee safe operation of materials handling equipment and maintain a clean and secure work area.
• Ensure staff compliance with safety policies and OSHA/MSDS standards.
• Direct work schedules, assign duties, and evaluate employee performance, including records and reports.
• Address personnel issues, assess training needs, and collaborate with staff and management to resolve problems.
