Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Owensboro, KY is hiring two Warehouse Supervisors to lead shift operations within our Logistics division. You will ensure safe, efficient work and coach teams to meet customer expectations while driving continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have 0–1 year supervisory experience in warehousing or transportation, a high school diploma, and strong planning, communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED is required.
• 0 to 1 year of direct supervisory/leadership experience is required.
• 1 year or more of experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee day-to-day logistics operations.
• Plan and review logistics processes in collaboration with the Logistics Manager.
• Establish work schedules and coordinate activities of workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics.
• Be accountable for site KPI.
• Collaborate with customers in all aspects of operations.
• Hold regular team and individual progress meetings, coach, and recognize achievements.
• Foster team spirit and promote diversity and inclusion while seeking process improvements.
• Conduct performance evaluations and recognize performance with awards or merit increases when appropriate.
• Address performance issues through corrective action and disciplinary processes.
• Implement health & safety and security initiatives and ensure policy adherence.
• Provide orientation for employees and Lead Hands and supply necessary tools and information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
