Job summary

The Schnellecke Group is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations on 8 to 12 hour shifts, day or night, in Huntsville, AL. This is a salaried, exempt leadership role focused on safety, efficiency, and meeting productivity and quality goals.

You will lead hourly team members, manage staffing and workflow, coach staff, monitor metrics, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced logistics environment. Strong leadership and WMS knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience in warehousing, logistics, or distribution required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications.
• Ability to work a rotating or fixed schedule of 8 to 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise warehouse and logistics operations during assigned 12-hour day or night shifts.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Manage staffing, workflow, and labor planning to meet operational demands.
• Coach, train, and develop hourly team members; address performance and conduct issues.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and service metrics; communicate results to management.
• Resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and customer requirements as needed.
