Job description

Spectrum is seeking an On-Site Supervisor to support the Department of Veteran Affairs located in Hines, IL. In this role, you will work with a diverse, high-performing team of professionals, leveraging a proactive program management methodology to ensure all tasks are executed and delivered on time and of the highest quality.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Train Material Coordinators
• Assign work based on priorities, considering the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees to ensure timely completion
• Maintain compliance with Veterans Administration's Service Distribution Center (SDC) standards and ensure transaction accuracy
• Maintain records, document necessary information, and utilize reports to track warehouse project status
• Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with government personnel to enforce operating instructions and safety policies
• Monitor and review work, provide employee performance feedback, and conduct performance appraisals
• Participate in interview panels and recommend candidate selection
• Comply with all government policies

Additional Duties

• Ensure order drops are accurate, with a 90% accuracy rate, and that tasks are performed timely and accurately to meet performance standards
• Identify issues and report to the On-site Program Manager
• Resolve issues, implement new procedures, resolve conflicts, and ensure proper training and documentation for Material Coordinators

Requirements

Education

High School Diploma (additional training or education preferred)

Experience

Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of logistics, including shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment processes

Conflict management, problem-solving, time management skills

Proficiency in inventory software, Microsoft Office Suite, data entry, and typing

Knowledge of security measures, safety procedures, hazardous material handling, and risk assessments

Ability to guide and train employees, monitor performance

Requires Tier 1 Background Investigation
