Job summary

Relogistics is seeking a Shift Lead in Indianapolis, Indiana to maximize team productivity while upholding safety standards. The role includes scheduling with the On-Site Manager, recruiting and developing staff, and ensuring HR and safety policies are followed.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading materials, equipment checks, quality verification, and basic data entry. A forklift certification and a valid driver’s license are required for this position.

• 1 year of Supervisor or Lead experience preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation required.
• Forklift certification required.

• Load and unload materials and ensure loads are secure.

Overview

As a Shift Lead, you’ll help ensure your team of co-workers are maximizing their overall productivity during each shift, while adhering to the highestsafety standards.

Hourly Pay:

$18.00/hr.

Shift(s):

A1: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm Saturday - Monday

B2: 4:00 pm - 2:00 am Tuesday - Friday

What You'll Do

• Work with the On-Site Manager as he/she to sets shift/operating schedules to best service the local customer(s)
• Assist with recruiting and developing employees.
• Ensure company policies regarding Safety and HR are followed
• Order and maintain suppliesand arrange for office equipment maintenance
• Assist with forklift driver duties as needed
• Track movements in a timely/legible manner on the proper forms
• Assist in managing employee relations issues, locally, in conjunction with the OSM

• Load and unload materials from trailers and move to the appropriate staging area within the facility
• Check to make sure loads are secure
• Ensure that all daily equipment checks on all Industrial power equipment are being performed
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standard
• Perform basic financial data entry
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths
• Forklift operators are required to sit for long periods of time
• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision
• May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs.
