Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Warehouse Selector to move products between loading docks and warehouse areas, using pallet jacks and forklifts. You will fill customer orders from multi-level racks, wrap and label pallets, and prepare shipments with focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires standing and heavier lifting in a multi-temperature environment, with overtime as needed. Training will cover equipment operation and safety protocols to support a reliable distribution flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6-12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly during shift.
• Must be able to lift 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Reviews work schedule, obtains supplies and prepares for operations.
• Performs safety checks on pallet jack/forklift and uses safety devices.
• Puts on required PPE and safety gear.
• Places pallets on pallet jack and locates products per order sheets.
• Transports completed orders to shipping dock staging area; may shrink-wrap.
• Replaces batteries and completes vehicle inspection checklist.
• Ensures area is safe and reports unsafe conditions.
• Meets productivity and accuracy standards per location.
