Job summary

US Foods is hiring Warehouse Team Members in a fast-paced, multi-temperature environment. You will safely pick customer orders, build and wrap pallets, and load docks. Responsibilities include pre-shift checks, operating an electric pallet jack, and ensuring accuracy and safety across shifts.

Night shifts run Sunday through Thursday with potential weekend work. Base rate is $34.00/hr, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Must read and communicate in English for trainings and reporting.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, Sundays to Thursdays with occasional weekends/holidays.
• Recent high-endurance or physically demanding work experience preferred.
• Experience selecting large-scale warehouse orders and operating pallet jacks.
• Able to follow order selecting software and equipment directions.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders and build pallets.
• Perform pre-shift checks and operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets per software directions and verify accuracy.
• Deliver pallets to dock areas and shrink wrap for shipment.
• Keep aisles clear and return pallets and equipment to charging areas.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring to the Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is $34.00/hr.

As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation, and incentive compensation based on productivity and quality, shift differential, freezer premium etc.
