Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Shepherdsville, KY is seeking a Warehouse Order Picker & Package Handler to join our distribution team. You’ll work in shifts, pick and pack items, operate scanners, and lift up to 100 pounds. Training provided; no previous experience required.

1st Shift 6:30 - 7:30 AM, 2nd Shift 6:30 - 7:30 PM; Sundays to Thursdays with weekends off. Starting pay scales with production and efficiency, and we offer excellent total rewards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage and complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders in the distribution center.
• Operate scanners and read labels to ensure accuracy.
• Lift up to 100 pounds during shifts.

Warehouse Order Picker & Package Handler

Distribution Center Address: 342 Gordon Industrial Ave., Shepherdsville, KY

Pay

Earn two pay raises in your first year and earn more per hour for speed and efficiency.

Selection

• 1st Shift: $20.90/hour
• 2nd Shift: $21.90/hour (includes $1.00 shift premium)

Shipping

• 1st Shift: $20.13/hour
• 2nd Shift: $21.13/hour (includes $1.00 shift premium)

Work Schedule

• Sunday - Thursday work week, with Friday and Saturdays off
• 1st Shift 6:30 - 7:30 AM until finish (shifts may vary based on work volume)
• 2nd Shift - 6.30 - 7.30 PM until finish (shifts may vary based on work volume)

• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!
• We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions is required while you’re here.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).
