Job summary

US Foods is seeking a dedicated warehouse custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across the facility. You will sweep, mop, and sanitize floors, empty trash, and assist with light maintenance while supporting daily operations.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm with occasional Saturdays; starting pay is $19.10 per hour. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills and the ability to read and follow instructions.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Related Experience: Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Read/write legibly; follow orders; basic math; work with little supervision. Experience operating warehouse equipment: reach trucks, pallet jacks, sweeper, floor scrubber, bailer, hydraulic trash compactor.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and clean entire warehouse to maintain cleanliness.
• Empty trash bins and clean trash area; operate trash compactor when applicable.
• Pull pallets and clean/scrub product bays on a rotating basis.
• Clean spills or breakages per food safety requirements; determine if items are resalable or dispose of.
• Perform light maintenance tasks (bulbs, recycling, waste, etc.).
• Prepare reports documenting cleaning schedules and damages; may order supplies.
• May clean offices, break rooms, restrooms, test kitchens and other areas.
• Maintain facility grounds and dumpster areas.
• Operate scrubber, pallet jack and high lift as needed.
