Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Sanitation Worker in Salem, VA to maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment and support daily operations. You will sweep floors, respond to spills, dispose of trash, and help with general facility upkeep, working Monday through Friday with some Saturday hours.

The role starts with benefits from day one and offers growth opportunities within the company. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED and custodial/sanitation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED preferred.
• Previous custodial and/or sanitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and cleans the entire warehouse to maintain cleanliness.
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.
• Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
• Cleans spills or breakages and disposes of items per safety rules.
• Performs light maintenance duties and tracks supplies as needed.
