Job summary

US Foods is hiring a Warehouse Sanitation Worker to clean and maintain the warehouse and surrounding areas. The role includes operating equipment, following safety protocols, and documenting cleaning activities.

Benefits begin Day 1 and the pay rate is set per hour, with overtime and shift differential where applicable. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, custodial experience, and the ability to work under varied temperatures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment: reach trucks, pallet jacks, sweeper, floor scrubber, bailer, hydraulic trash compactor.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and clean entire warehouse to maintain cleanliness.
• Empty trash bins and clean trash area daily; operate trash compactor when applicable.
• Pull pallets and clean/scrub product bays on a rotating basis.
• Clean spills or breakages and determine if resalable or disposal per food safety requirements.
• Perform light maintenance duties (bulbs, recycling, etc.).
• Prepare reports documenting cleaning schedule and damages; track maintenance supplies.
• May clean other areas including break rooms, rest rooms, test kitchens, offices.
• Maintain facility grounds and dumpster areas.
• Operate scrubber, pallet jack and high lift as required.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 100 degrees hot to -25 degrees cold.
