Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Sanitation/Warehouse associate to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in our facility. The role supports essential warehouse operations and adheres to health and safety standards to protect all staff.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and at least 6 months of sanitation or janitorial experience. A post-offer drug test and background check are required, with opportunities for growth in a stable food distribution setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months sanitation/cleaning/janitorial experience.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean and safe warehouse environment in line with company policies.
• Follows health and safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions.
• Performs routine janitorial tasks: dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash removal.
• Handles cleaning chemicals per hazmat sheets and trainings.
• Completes required safety trainings in a timely manner.
• May operate pallet jack to move refuse or supplies.
• Completes assigned tasks accurately and on time.
• May work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience

Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

$20.00 hr
