Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to keep our facilities clean and safe. You will perform general janitorial tasks in dry, cooler and freezer areas, support health and safety policies, and help maintain a hygienic workplace.

Schedule is Tue–Sat, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with competitive pay and benefits starting Day 1. A high school diploma or GED and some sanitation experience are preferred; drug test and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial experience preferred.
• Must pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Keeps warehouse areas clean and safe, including dry, cooler, and freezer zones.
• Performs cleaning duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping and trash removal.
• Adheres to company health and safety policies and hazmat/safety guidelines.
• May operate a pallet jack to move refuse or containers as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Compensation

$23/hour
