Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a Warehouse Safety & Training Manager to oversee safety and PIT training for site staff. You will report to the Group Logistics Manager and coordinate with the Safety Manager to ensure training compliance, including OSHA and forklift training.

The role is salaried (exempt) from $70,000 to $75,000 per year, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm, and comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• OSHA and forklift training knowledge are desirable.
• 1+ year driving PIT equipment required.
• 3+ years in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
• 1+ year in Training/Leadership roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer on-the-job and PIT training; update training documents; complete HR paperwork.
• Coordinate department activities and staffing levels with Group Manager Logistics.
• Direct staff, hire, orient, and coach; manage scheduling and rotations.
• Conduct audits to ensure process adherence.
• Coordinate safety activities with Safety Manager to keep OSHA and forklift training current.

• Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
• Annual Salary Pay: $70,000-$75,000
• Sign on Bonus: $2500

Summary

The Warehouse Training Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of training at their site. They will report to the Group Logistics Manager and coordinate with the Safety Manager to train new hires and keep existing employees current on required training.

Essential Functions

• Contribute to meeting site productivity and quality goals by administering on the job training and power industrial truck (PIT) training to all new and existing employees including cross training as needed. Update and maintain various existing training documents and help create new training documents for various departments and job functions. Complete Human Resource paperwork and other administrative tasks as assigned.


• Coordinate department activities and special projects to ensure quality and meet timetables. Coordinate with Group Manager Logistics for appropriate staffing levels


• Direct staff in the development, analysis and performance of job task. Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Assist staff to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems. Conduct interviews, hire new staff and provide employee orientation. Coach and provide career development advice to staff. Responsible for staff scheduling to include work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignments, back-up for absent employees.


• Perform standard work audits with new and existing employees to ensure adherence to process.


• Responsible to coordinate safety activities for the site by working with Safety Manager to ensure safety training is current including OSHA and forklift training.

Additional Responsibilities

• Evaluate department processes. Recommend and coordinate needed changes based on process analysis


• Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews

• 1 year or more in In driving various PIT equipment, Required


• 3 years or more in relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field, Preferred


• 1 year or more in Training / Leadership background, Preferred


• User level knowledge of Windows and MS Office Intermediate, Required
