What you'll be doing day to day
As a Safety & Security Worker, helping to maintain a safe work environment at our Distribution / Customer Fulfillment Center, you will:
- Ensure compliance with IKEA Risk Management Standards on a consistent basis via audits, follow-up, education and training, and reports.
- Respond to all accidents and provide basic first aid and/or CPR.
- Perform accident investigations and complete reports.
- Ensure building and premises security, monitor security video feeds, and respond to alarms.
- Respond to various security situations including injuries, medical events, natural disasters, theft, threats, fraud, misconduct, and trespassing.
- Work with the Safety and Security Manager and other leadership to investigate sensitive issues.
- Report injuries, slips and falls, near misses, and Workers Compensation incidents via electronic systems and phone.
- Contribute to a workplace culture that embraces diversity and promotes safety and well-being.

Qualifications
• Safety and security experience preferred.
• Knowledge of security protocols, alarm systems, and monitoring software.
• Experience with investigation methods and disaster response.
• Strong communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to lift, sit, stand, and walk for entire shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
