Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Receiving Clerk in Hartford, CT to log incoming purchase orders, audit paperwork, and help ensure stores are stocked. The role uses distribution computers and may require lifting up to 70 pounds.

You will work with vendors, maintain filing systems, and support the Receiving team. Eligible applicants may have a high school diploma, basic math and computer skills, and a commitment to attendance. Benefits include health, dental, 401(k), and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Demonstrated track record of good attendance.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• If internal, no written warnings within 6 months or final warnings within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Log incoming purchase orders and audit receiving paperwork for accuracy.
• Assist inventory to ensure stores are stocked and monitor merchandise for defects.
• Call vendors for packing lists and freight bills and maintain filing system.
• Operate distribution computer systems to control merchandise flow and unload/load equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
