Job summary

Emerald Isle Foods LLC in Richmond, VA seeks a Receiving Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate receipt and storage of products, oversee warehouse operations, QA, and GMP food safety.

You will ensure accurate inventory tracking, manage staff performance, train receivers, and collaborate with Purchasing and Sales on shortages and quality concerns. Must lift 50-60 lbs and operate forklifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of warehouse receiving experience; two years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of inventory control and Microsoft Office software applications.
• Knowledge of produce types and ability to make judgments on product quality.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse receiving and storage processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deliveries meet quality standards and GMP handling as per procedures.
• Track inventory accurately using the inventory management system.
• Supervise receiving and warehouse staff; verify PO data and ensure proper stocking.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Sales on shortages, overages, and quality concerns.
• Maintain tidy receiving and cooler areas; prepare for external audits.
• Oversee slot moves and stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
• Monitor Receiving staff performance and address issues.
• Train new Warehouse Receivers.
• Perform other related duties as required.
