Job summary

Down East Seafood Inc. is seeking a Receiver to work closely with the Warehouse Manager, providing support for receiving, staging, replenishment, and inventory control to ensure customer orders are completed.

You will handle receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, conduct physical counts, reconcile data, and maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness while meeting daily receiving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supports receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and supporting program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciles with data storage system.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing layouts, inspecting equipment, and arranging repairs or replacements.
• Ensures the warehouse is clean and in compliance with safety standards (OSHA, company).Supports workloads and productivity; ensures all receiving and put-away is completed promptly and inventory is accurate.
• Records discrepancies and reports to AP, Purchasing, and Operations Management.
• Ensures inbound trucks are properly scheduled and product is in wholesome intact condition; records entries and scans per PO.
• Monitors product levels and rotation; assists with stocking and locating inbound product.
• Cleans and documents sanitation in receiving docks and supports cleanliness throughout warehouse.
• Completes daily tasks and reports appropriate receiving documents to AP and Operations Manager.
• Covers other warehouse areas as needed and supports day-to-day operations when manager is unavailable.
