Job summary

Viking Electric in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler - Receiving for a part-time schedule (7:00am-2:00pm, Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri). The role focuses on moving products from our warehouse to customers, with a positive, fast-paced team environment.

We provide training for forklift and handheld scanner devices, emphasize safety, and offer a comprehensive benefits package as part of the Sonepar family. The pay range is $20.00–$25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Stand and walk most of shift.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract).
• Willingness to learn forklift and handheld scanner operation.
• Able to work in various warehouse temperatures.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material safely using a forklift, pallet jack, handcart, and other equipment.
• Count, check and record items coming into or being shipped out of the warehouse.
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels to track inventory levels.
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for safe delivery or storage.
• Help keep products free from damage and organized.
• Follow procedures that keep the warehouse safe and secure.
