Job summary

Northern Sales Company in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Warehouse Receiving Associate to unload, receive, and organize inbound freight in dry and cold storage environments. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, verify shipments against purchase orders, replenish stock, and assist with order picking while meeting daily deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts and working in warehouse distribution preferred; willingness to learn is welcome.
• Familiarity with warehouse flow and distribution processes is a plus.
• Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work scheduled hours (Monday – Friday, 12:30 am to 9:00 am, or until duties are complete; overtime may be required).
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound freight from trailer vans (up to 53’ in length) in a dry and cold warehouse environment (temperatures as low as 10°F above zero).
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move and organize freight safely and efficiently.
• Receive inbound freight and verify shipments against purchase orders.
• Replenish warehouse stock as needed to maintain inventory levels.
• Assist with pulling and sorting customer orders for delivery.
• Report any discrepancies or damaged merchandise to the Warehouse Operations Manager.
• Adapt to changing priorities and complete tasks to meet daily deadlines.

Compensation

$22.00 per hour
