Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Receiver to manage inbound products and ensure items are saleable on arrival. You’ll support the dock’s flow, verify conditions, log issues, and guide carrier unloaders in sorting and placement.

Typical duties include labeling pallets, inputting purchase orders, and assisting the Receiving Clerk when needed. A focus on accuracy, safety, and teamwork is required to thrive in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English at a level sufficient for job tasks.
• Previous receiving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Examine condition of product arriving from carriers.
• Document overages, shorts, damages, expiration dates, temperature and trailer condition.
• Direct outside carriers and unloaders on sorting and segregation of product.
• Print pallet labels, enter purchase orders, and assign doors.
• Cover for Receiving Clerk as needed.
• Follow safety rules and company standards to maintain product integrity.
