Job summary

Nicholas & Company Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented Receiver to join our Salt Lake City warehouse. This entry‑level, full‑time role focuses on receiving, inspecting, and organizing goods to ensure accuracy and timely processing.

You will count inventory, unload shipments, verify items against orders, and enter data into the inventory system, collaborating with purchasing and vendor teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and troubleshoot issues.
• Proficient in using inventory management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with team and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inventory counting and periodic audits.
• Receive and unload incoming shipments, inspecting for damages and discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with purchasing to resolve discrepancies with received items.
• Verify the quantity and quality of items received against orders and packing lists.
• Organize and stage received merchandise in storage areas.
• Inspect and identify defects or damages and notify relevant teams.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to optimize efficiency and timely processing of received items.
• Record received items in the inventory system with part numbers, quantities, and serial numbers.
