Job summary

McLane Company is hiring a Warehouse Receiver to manage inbound product flow, inspect items on arrival, and ensure saleable condition for resale. You will guide carriers, document discrepancies, and uphold safety and quality standards at our Temple, TX distribution center.

The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, and preferred prior receiving experience. Training to operate warehouse equipment and flexible shifts are part of the job.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Preferably have previous receiving experience.
• The ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Examine condition of product as it arrives from carriers.
• Document overages / shorts / damages, expiration dates, and other product details.
• Direct outside carriers on sorting and unloading procedures.
• Maintain product integrity per McLane Company standards.
• Print pallet labels and enter purchase orders into the system.
• Cover for Receiving Clerk as needed.
• Follow safety rules and achieve production standards.
• Be able to work independently or in a team.
• Train and certify to operate required equipment within 30 days after hire.
• Maintain attendance and adapt to varying schedules including weekends.
