Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Receiver in Temple, TX. The role involves receiving products and ensuring items are in saleable condition for resale, while managing the inbound flow of the dock.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Preferably have previous receiving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Examine condition of product as it arrives from various carriers.
• Document overages / shorts / damages, expiration dates, product temperature, trailer condition, pest evidence or tampering.
• Direct outside carriers and contract unloaders on how to sort and segregate product.
• Follow and maintain product integrity as required by McLane Company standards.
• Print pallet labels, enter purchase orders into computer and assign doors.
• Cover for Receiving Clerk as needed.
• Comply with company work and safety rules; meet production standards.
• Maintain quality of work to limit mispicks, shorts and damages.
