Job summary

Performance Food Group in Johnson City, TN seeks a warehouse associate to oversee the receiving dock, inspect and verify materials, and coordinate storage and data entry. You will work Monday–Friday, 7am start, ensuring safety and quality standards while maintaining efficient product flow through the facility.

Responsibilities include following safety policies, inspecting trailers, recording counts, and assisting forklift operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6–12 months of warehouse or distribution experience.
• Must be able to work scheduled shifts and overtime.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly.
• Able to lift 10–35 lbs and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pre-employment drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and maintain a safe work area.
• Review schedule, perform safety checks, and prepare for operations.
• Use PPE and safety gear.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Open loading dock doors and prepare area to receive products.
• Inspect incoming trailers and verify items against the bill of lading.
• Receive products, verify counts, record data, and ensure quality.
• Identify, store, and input purchase orders into inventory system.
• Coordinate unloading and movement of items with forklift/pallet jack.
• Perform housekeeping and ensure area is clean.
• Complete end-of-shift paperwork and secure equipment.
