Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a warehouse associate to support receiving, inspection, and storage of materials at our distribution facility. The role runs Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm, offering $26.13 per hour with benefits starting on day one.

You will verify deliveries, enter data, coordinate storage, and help move products through the dock and warehouse while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6-12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift and stack product between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout shift.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the receiving dock area to verify quality and labeling of materials and supplies.
• Enter information into inventory database and coordinate storage of supplies.
• Move and maintain products through the production process observing safety and quality standards.
• Open loading dock doors, prepare area to receive products from tractor-trailers.
• Inspect incoming trailers to meet quality standards and take appropriate action.
• Receive and verify items against the bill of lading and record counts.
• Identify, store, and enter purchase order data into the system.
• Coordinate unloading and transport to staging areas; assist forklift operators.
• Perform housekeeping and keep areas clean and safe.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and end-of-shift tasks.
