Job summary

A&B Distributors in Tyler, TX is seeking a dependable warehouse associate to accurately pick items, stage pallets, and verify orders. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, perform pre-operation inspections, and help maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, distribution or order-picking experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures.
• Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification to safely operate equipment.
• Basic math and reading skills for order verification.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Understands and follows proper procedures for handling damaged products and repackaging.
• Conducts pre-operation inspections of warehouse equipment to ensure safe and proper function.
• Performs quarterly maintenance checks, including monitoring water levels and battery condition on equipment.
• Follow company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Support general warehouse operations including housekeeping tasks.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Physical Demands:

This role requires regular standing, walking and reaching. Must be able to regularly lift and move products ranging from 25 to 170 pounds, as well as climb, reach, and perform other physical movements necessary to carry out the essential duties of the position. Work is performed in a warehouse environment where steel-toed footwear is required.
