Job summary

Farwest is seeking a full-time onsite technician for graveyard shifts (6:00pm–4:30am, Sun–Wed). Wage range is $20.05–$31.05 per hour, DOE.

The role focuses on operating equipment efficiently, maintaining parts quality, and supporting production targets in a Western US steel service environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, strong English communication, punctuality, teamwork, and the ability to follow instructions and perform basic calculations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reliable, on time and ready to work daily.
• Basic understanding of warehouse functions and equipment operation.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and writing in English.
• Ability to work in a team environment with others in our company and treat our employees and customers with respect, courtesy and tact.
• Understand written and oral instruction, make mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular predictive maintenance of the equipment to reduce unplanned machine downtime.
• Confirm order requirements are met, including proper selection of the job, priority and materials.
• First part inspection on all production runs to specified tolerances and dimensional check.
• Make adjustments, edit programs, etc. to optimize production quality and efficiency.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by improving product quality through validations of all aspects of the machine.
