Job description

As part of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for delivering excellent service by providing efficient and accurate selection of products ordered by Wegmans stores. What will I do?

• Ensure pallets of product are built safely and efficiently, minimizing product damage and maximizing trailer space.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and Vocollect devices.
• Perform order audits to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain knowledge of all quality standards and product specifications.
• Report daily quality issues to management using reports and other communication methods.
• Maintain the integrity of the cold chain for temperature-sensitive loads.
• Work in cold environments and lift weights averaging 20-25 pounds, with occasional lifts over 50 pounds.

Preferred experience:

• Experience operating a pallet jack, forklift, and Vocollect preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The work is physically demanding, involving prolonged walking, standing, heavy lifting (20-25 pounds on average, over 50 pounds occasionally), repetitive movements, bending, reaching, and working in various temperatures, including cold and freezing conditions. Protective clothing and equipment are provided. Equipment used includes powered pallet jacks, forklifts, shipping containers, labels, computerized systems, and headsets.
