Job description

Position Overview

As a Selector, you will work individually selecting full-case grocery, frozen, and/or perishable products from warehouse pick slots using a pallet jack or other equipment. You will use order sheets or an audio headset to assist in selection. Your responsibilities include fitting items on a pallet, plastic wrapping the bundles, transporting pallets to the shipping dock, and occasionally loading them onto trailers for delivery. All employees are expected to prioritize safety.

Job Description

• Ensure accuracy of work and adherence to safety standards.
• Utilize pick sheet technology (e.g., voice, scanner) to select products.
• Operate double walkie-rider or pallet jack to remove cases and place on pallets, attaching selection labels where applicable.
• Move pallets on electric pallet jacks or walkie-riders to the shipping dock for delivery.
• Use proper wrapping techniques to ensure product safety and inform supervisors of discrepancies.
• Write store numbers on pallets where required.
• Operate battery hoist and change batteries if necessary.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Complete equipment inspection forms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
