C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is hiring a custodian/janitor for the 2nd shift at Plant City, FL. You will keep the warehouse and offices clean, handle sanitation tasks, and ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a clean and safe work environment as custodian/janitor.
• Perform janitorial duties across warehouse, offices, break areas, windows and restrooms.
• Maintain good housekeeping: sweep, mop, vacuum, buff and wax floors.
• Occasionally move products using electric pallet jack to clean areas.
• Address spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collect plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes for disposal.
• Follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures.
• Occasionally lift varying case weights as needed.
• Adhere to all equipment safety protocols.

• 2nd shift: Sunday-Thursday, 10PM start.

Job Description

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor
• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
