Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC in Indianapolis is seeking a Warehouse Pipe Yard Supervisor to lead a small team and ensure efficient pipe yard operations. You will oversee inbound and outbound logistics, manage inventory accuracy, and drive safety compliance in a fast-paced environment.

You will direct 4 associates, shape training and development, and enforce a Monday–Friday schedule (7am to 5pm or until work is completed), with a focus on performance and quality control.

Qualifications

• Background in warehouse operations and logistics including shipping, receiving, delivery and inventory.
• 2+ years in warehouse or pipe yard management or supervisory role.
• OSHA knowledge and safety practices are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop associates to maintain a productive pipe yard.
• Oversee unloading, stocking, picking and shipping with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain efficient pipe yard space, inventory integrity, and cycle counts.
• Ensure yard security and safety; report accidents and issues to management.

Job description

Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Warehouse Pipe Yard Supervisor.

Position Details

Reports to our Senior Warehouse Manager. Direct oversight of 4 associates. Monday – Friday 7am to 5pm or until work is completed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop a productive pipe yard by hiring, training, and providing professional development for all associates.
• Supervise and coordinate unloading and stocking of inbound shipments and the picking and shipping of outbound orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with both product and paperwork.
• Ensure pipe yard space is utilized effectively and kept clean and orderly.
• Ensure integrity of inventory and confirm that cycle counts are completed.
• Maintain security of pipe yard and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to branch management.

Qualifications

• A strong background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is required.
• 2+ years of warehouse or pipe yard management or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Material Handling Equipment Certification is preferred.
• A working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Good judgment and decision‑making abilities.
• Great communication skills and the ability and desire to lead a team.
• Pre‑employment drug and background screening required.

Pay

Pay Range: $15.58 - $33.85 per hour. Role is bonus or incentive plan eligible. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
