Job summary

Huyett is seeking a Warehouse Picking Supervisor in Texas to lead a 5-7 person order picking team in a fast-paced distribution setting. You will coach, train, and develop staff to achieve accurate, complete, and timely order fulfillment while aligning daily work with company goals.

Ideal candidates bring strong leadership and coaching abilities, a willingness to work cross-functionally, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement within a warehousing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with ability to lead a warehouse team.
• Experience in warehousing/distribution preferred.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute the selection, coaching, mentoring, development, and performance management of a warehouse order picking team of 5-7 direct reports.
• Lead teams by allocating resources to meet daily business needs. Ensure products are picked for order fulfillment in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.
• Facilitate employee training and build succession within the department.
• Communicate daily metrics and resource constraints to warehouse leadership team.
• Improve product quality and reduce errors & omissions through continuous improvement principles, maximize productivity by identifying waste and implementing improvements.
• Determine and improve process capabilities and personnel productivity. Provide consultation to teammates as needed.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed by teammates. Identify and communicate safety‑related continuous improvement opportunities to leadership.

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs preferred.

Work Environment: This is a warehousing plant environment. Exposure to high temperatures, moving machinery, moving equipment, heights, and confined spaces.
