Job summary

Pyramex Safety Products in Piperton, TN is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate to pick, pack, and ship orders in a fast-paced environment. You will use an RF scanner, review ticket accuracy, and work from a designated pick area.

Responsibilities include safely operating a forklift or picker, shrink wrap, cross-training in related tasks, maintaining a clean, safe workspace, and delivering excellent customer service in every shipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic reading, writing, computer and math skills.
• Experience using an RF scanner.
• Must be extremely detail-oriented.
• Must be hardworking and able to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
• Must be self-motivated and punctual.
• Able to work well within a team to deliver shared goals.
• Must be able to perform physical requirements of the position including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, squatting, bending, and reaching overhead.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds without restriction, using proper safety methods.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills orders from a specified pick area in the warehouse.
• Uses RF scanner to pick inventory and transfers in the warehouse management system.
• Reviews pick tickets and RF scans to confirm accuracy.
• Troubleshoots inventory and pick/pack discrepancies and communicates with supervisor.
• Safely operates forklift or picker to make picks.
• Safely operates a shrink wrap machine.
• Some bulk pickers handle shipping duties as well.
• Maintains a safe, clean work area and adheres to safety policies.
• Cross trains in other warehouse tasks and supports projects as needed.

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday / 7am - 6pm
• Responsible for swiftly and accurately fulfilling orders from a specific pick area in the warehouse
• Use RF scanner to pick inventory and to make bin transfers in the warehouse management system
• Review pick ticket and RF scanner to confirm picks are accurate and complete before moving on
• Troubleshoot inventory and pick/pack discrepancies. Communicate to supervisor or appropriate coworker
• Safely operate a forklift or picker to make picks
• Safely operate a shrink wrap machine
• Some bulk pickers are responsible for shipping duties as well
• Keep a safe and clean work area. Adhere to all safety policies
• Maintain a positive attitude while making excellent customer service a top priority
• Cross train in other warehouse tasks and assist in projects or other areas, as needed
