Job summary

Earnest Machine is a wholesale distributor of industrial metal fasteners. The Picker is responsible for accurately picking, staging, and preparing customer orders for shipment in a fast paced distribution center environment.

This role requires attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse. You will operate RF scanners, reach trucks, and other warehouse technology, lifting up to 60 pounds and maintaining a clean, safe workspace

Qualifications

• Lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly during shifts.
• On-site work at our Atlanta, GA distribution center.
• Experience using RF scanners in a warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• At least 1 year of reach truck experience.
• At least 1 year of order picker experience.
• Experience picking from high shelving and elevated storage locations.
• Comfortable with warehouse technology including scanners and printers.
• Reliable, with a strong work ethic and willingness to help with extra tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pick and build customer orders accurately and efficiently based on daily shipping requirements.
• Stage, organize, and prepare orders on skids/pallets for shipment.
• Continue picking ahead for upcoming orders after daily requirements are met.
• Assist with additional warehouse tasks as directed after picking is finished.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including order pickers and reach trucks, safely.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse tech to track inventory and fulfillment.
• Verify quantities and accuracy before staging for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and daily housekeeping.
• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and work instructions.

Position Summary

The Picker is responsible for accurately picking, staging, and preparing customer orders for shipment in a fast paced distribution center environment. This role requires attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse.

Essential Responsibilities

• Pick and build customer orders accurately and efficiently based on daily shipping requirements
• Stage, organize, and prepare orders on skids/pallets for shipment
• Continue picking ahead for upcoming orders once daily order requirements have been completed
• Assist with additional warehouse tasks and priorities as directed after order-picking activities are finished
• Operate warehouse equipment, including order pickers and reach trucks, in a safe and efficient manner
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse technology to accurately track inventory and order fulfillment
• Pick products from elevated storage locations and high shelving areas
• Verify product quantities and order accuracy before staging for shipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including completing daily housekeeping responsibilities in assigned areas
• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and work instructions

• Familiarity with inventory control and warehouse best practices.
