Job description

Description

Responsible for building pallets and loading draft, bulk, service, and on-premise routes efficiently and accurately.

This is a Monday-Friday position. Shift begins at 9:00 am and ends when all products have been picked for the day. Compensation includes an hourly rate plus pick commission.

First 30 days are paid at an hourly rate of $16.50. After the training period, pay switches to $13.00 plus $0.05 per pick.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build pallets and load draft, bulk, service, and on-premise routes efficiently and accurately.
• Remove packaged beer returned on route trucks and store products properly.
• Certify ending inventories from draft and/or package trucks and report shortages, overages, or discrepancies to the shift supervisor.
• Follow warehouse check-in procedures for labeling close and out-of-code products.
• Repack damaged products following A & B guidelines before the end of each shift.
• Build hot shot/dock orders as needed.
• Unload transports when necessary.
• Perform daily safety inspections, complete checklists, and submit to supervisor.
• Use the shrink wrap machine properly when required.
• Perform housekeeping tasks as assigned by shift supervision.
• Attend all required company meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Qualifications, Knowledge/Skills, and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, including:

• Reliable attendance and punctuality, complying with company policies.
• Follow instructions and accept feedback from supervisors respectfully.
• Work cooperatively and cordially with team members.
• Read and interpret code dates, safety rules, and manuals.
• Complete work orders and correspondence accurately.
• Obtain pallet jack training and certification.
• Operate crown forklift, company vehicles, and tractor trailers safely.
• Possess product knowledge and mathematical skills for pallet building.
• Work independently and adapt to changing conditions.
• Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and state beverage laws.

Physical Demands: The employee must frequently reach, climb, stand, walk, sit, and use hands, with occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must regularly lift/move 25 pounds and occasionally up to 171 pounds. Sometimes pull/push up to 1,500 pounds on hand trucks and operate forklifts safely.

Working Conditions: Exposure to outdoor weather, extreme cold in coolers, and moderate noise levels.
