This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. Employees work from electronic order systems or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The position is responsible for accuracy in loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation, and for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

The job may require working in various weather conditions and hours, depending on workload. Responsibilities include moving full pallets of products onto trailers, unloading raw materials, and selecting packages for loading onto pallets and trucks, with a focus on stability and proper stacking. The role involves frequent lifting of cases weighing 20-45 pounds, and constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping.

PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Drive power pallet jack or forklift to pick and build pallets according to load sheets or voice pick systems.
2. Mark load tickets for out-of-stock items.
3. Wrap pallets after loading.
4. Complete paperwork and ensure truck checks before loading.
5. Stage pallets and load into trucks.
6. Complete partial pallets and organize mixed pallets.
7. Maintain proper housekeeping standards.
8. Ensure reliable and predictable attendance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years or older.

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

• Warehouse experience, including order picking, product staging, and operation of powered pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Experience with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets.
• Teamwork experience, including cooperation and problem solving.
