Job summary

Skyjack Inc. in Illinois is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support organizing stock, maintaining inventory levels, packing and preparing shipments, and handling material movements within the warehouse.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in a warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with hand trucks, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift.
• Good working knowledge of warehouse data systems.
• Solid communication skills.
• Strong inventory skills.
• Above average written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to plan and multi-task.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to work in a team or independently as needed.
• Physical stamina and dexterity for the work.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Process, pack and prepare orders for shipment accurately.
• Perform material handling activities such as receiving, packing, unpacking, sorting and storing incoming shipments, materials and parts.
• Fill warehouse orders, check, weigh and count orders.
• Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic equipment.
• Complete all shipping and receiving documents.
• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and location auditing/reporting.
• Communicate with Manager/Supervisor to confirm purchase orders.
• Follow all warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Performing material handling activities which may include uncrating containers and crates and moving parts and materials to the correct location in the warehouse.

Responsibility

• Process, pack and prepare orders for shipment accurately
• Perform material handling activities such as receiving and appropriately, packing, unpacking sorting and storing incoming shipments, materials and parts
• Perform a variety of activities such as filling warehouse orders, checking, weighing an counting orders
• Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment.
• Complete all shipping and receiving documents.
• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
• Assist with the execution of physical inventory counts and perform location auditing and reporting.
• Communicate with Manager/Supervisor to confirm details such as purchase order numbers.
• Follow all warehouse procedures and safety protocol
• Perform other duties as assigned

Academic/Educational Requirements

• High school Diploma is required .

Required Skills/Experiences

• Proven work experience in a warehouse setting or similar environment.
• Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks and other necessary warehouse equipment
• Ability to competently and safely operate a forklift
